Google has just launched a batch of new functionality, on mobile phone as well as computer ! The leader of search engine conforms to the newest mobile use : it offers to locate the user in the browser and offers him some points of interest around him (restaurants, cafés, bars …)

Google mobile ranks as an essential platform of web mobile. The mobinaute has also the opportunity to define his position from a town or a ZIP code. We can imagine the huge potential of that new service Google on mobile for e-tourisme : There is talk of M-tourisme !

Google, Yellow pages Killer ?

Linked to Google Maps and to the comment tool for restaurants, Google mobile can seriously be established as a direct competitor of the yellow pages. The directory offers the same services on its website and its application but Google is the real boss on the web.

The search engine strikes at local content / location, until now, it was a strategic asset of the Yellow pages.

If you have a microphone for your computer, you can also try the speech recognition on Google, it might be soon available in the mobile browser :)
